Maternal Blood Test
It is possible to perform the tests on the mother necessary for the storage procedure directly in the BioVault Laboratory in Plymouth, in compliance with cord blood preservation laws. These tests are for:
- Syphilis
- Cytomegalovirus IgG-IgM
- HTLV 1-2 antibodies
The cost covers:
- ‘Mother’s Blood Test Collection’ kit containing:
- Adhesive label with identification code
- ‘BD Vacutainer’ sterile 10 ml test tube
- ‘BD Becton, Dickinson and Company, USA’ sterile needle
- Cotton wool
- Disposable sterile gloves
- Collection at home and delivery to BioVault Laboratory
- Test results and shipping (according to client’s instructions).
