First In Italy for private storage
In November 2005, just one month after the Italian law became effective, SmartBank introduced – a pioneer in Italy – private cryogenic storage of stem cells.
SmartBank is the brainchild of its Scientific Director, Dr. Irene Martini, the only Italian representative admitted to the Advisory Board of the Parent’s Guide to Cord Blood Foundation, international point of reference for public donation and private storage.
Her constantly updated scientific expertise is at the disposal of parents for information and advice from specialists on pathologies, transplants and on the latest medical applications of stored cells; her signature for acknowledgement also figures on the Certificate sent to parents regarding storage conditions and sample details.
Immersed in progress
SmartBank is constantly looking to the future, by:
• selecting the best quality biobanking services, guaranteeing a safe and speedy access to the samples stored
• promoting medical-diagnostic services, useful for the whole family
• keeping up-to-date with prenatal details in the community of parents and healthcare practitioners
• circulating updated information on scientific progress in stem-cell applications for treating diseases and for regenerative medicine
Not a commercial mediator but a scientific advisor who, with experience and expertise, helps you to choose the most suitable solutions, the most reliable facilities and the most advanced technologies, with a direct contractual relationship between parents and the laboratory for cryogenic storage, all regulated by Italian law.
